Organization Committee

The Organization Committee functions as the Board for our Group. Authority is vested in the officers together with representation from each of the Main Street Committees.  In addition to hearing reports from the activities of the other Main Street Committees, it welcomes participation and representation from other community group such as the Manheim Historical Society, Manheim Women’s Club, Lions Club and others.  Through these meetings, we seek to facilitate mutual communication, planning and support. All are welcome to provide input toward achievement of our common goals.

2013 Meeting Schedule:  TBD.  All meetings are held at the MDDG Office located at 17 North Main Street starting at 4:00pm - 5:15pm. 

Design Committee

The Design Committee monitors the appearance of our downtown by coordinating efforts of borough staff and other community groups to create an inviting atmosphere. This group also oversees the façade improvement guidelines, and grant applications which are available to properties located in our main street designated area

Meetings are scheduled for the 4th Thursday of the month, 7:00pm, 17 N. Main.

Economic Restructuring Committee/Manheim Area Economic Development Corporation 

The Economic Restructuring Committee focuses on the evaluation and development of our local economy as well as marketing opportunities to encourage business growth. A healthy downtown economy benefits the surrounding community’s residents and businesses that bring jobs to our region.

2013 Meeting Schedule:  January 15th, March 19th, May 21st, July 16th, September 17th, November 19th starting at 8:15am until 9:30am at the MDDG Office located at 17 North Main Street.

Promotions Committee

The Promotions Committee targets opportunities to increase foot traffic and public awareness. Evens such as the Car Show, Taste of Manheim, Tree Lighting, and New Year’s Eve Celebration serve to attract residents and guests to experience the ambiance and beauty of Market Square. Events downtown also present opportunities for local businesses to introduce their products and services to the community. Through events, media, and our website, we seek to promote Manheim, its heritage, fine qualities, and opportunities.

Meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Monday at 5:15pm at the MDDG office located at 17 North Main Street
