  1. Cruisin' the Square is the title of our automobile and motorcycle show, now with the eighth annual taking place October 18, 2008. Personalized invitations to prior car show participants, trophies by class, raffle and great door prizes have helped ensure the continued success of this event. In its initial year we saw over one hundred registrants; last year with 231! With a variety of food vendors, musical entertainment, nice people and good weather, this event continues to grow and generate enthusiasm in our community. The event is held from 10:00am to 2:00pm rain or shine. Many door prizes will be awarded to our car registrants who may preregister for $8 or $10 on the day of the show. Staged in the center of town, the Square will be closed from 8:30am - 2:30pm. The event is open to the public and admission is free. Our anchor sponsor is Susquehanna Bank.
  2. Holiday Tree Lighting: Scheduled next for Saturday following Thanksgiving, 2007 marks its seventh year in our community. Come out for this real life 'Whoville' experience with hot chocolate, caroling, community brass band and other live entertainment. Event entertainment this year features Crickets School for the Performing Arts sharing several dance numbers from the Nutcracker Ballet. Our anchor sponsor is Sovereign Bank
  3. New Year's Eve will see the return of the large illuminated ball raised on the Square's flagpole at midnight. The Ball or "Orb" as we call it was locally designed and built and must be seen to be fully appreciated. A confetti canon has been added to our Orb which is fired with pressurized air from the top of the Flagpole at midnight. Live Entertainment led by John E. Fantastic and the Rock N Roll Time Machine will have you Dancin in the Streets with this family friendly New Years event. Carriage rides added a special element to the event beginning in 2005. Bank of Lancaster County is our anchor sponsor for the event. 'Dancin' in the Street' is not only the name of the event, but is encouraged with the Square closed to traffic
  4. Market on the Square Partnering with the Farm and Home Days committee, we invite vendors of a variety of types to sell their wares along the sidewalks of Market Square. Our first spring event includes greenhouse vendors with plants to get your gardens started for a new season, and a free perennial exchange. Next up on May 17, 2008, the event is joined to the Manheim Farm Show Complex and Historical Society Railroad Museum by tractor pulled wagons. The Farm Show element of the event includes tractor pulls and other entertainment. The Railroad Museum is a Manheim “must see” attraction with exhibits of Stiegel glass, a Manheim horse drawn mail cart, and many other Manheim specific historic treasures, not the least of which is the building itself newly and beautifully renovated.
